The Bobby Stark Foundation Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be a student - 18 to 22 years of age - who plans on continuing his/her education at a University or Community College for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 semesters.

The student must enroll full-time (12 credits or more).

Applications must be postmarked no later than July 28, 2010.

Award amounts: $250, $500 or $1,000.
Awarded amounts are based on application.

As my first year in college at UW-River Falls is coming to an end, I am reflecting on all of the wonderful things that I have had the chance to experience. I have had the opportunity to meet so many new people, and dive into academic courses that I would not have had the chance to do without the Bobby Stark Foundation scholarship that you awarded me last fall.

Ever since I can remember I have wanted to go to school and major in Elementary Education. Because of Bobbys scholarship, that dream has come true. Every day as I walk to class I carry Bobbys smile with me and pass it on to others around me, just as he did.

Thank you so much for awarding me Bobbys scholarship. Now I am able to make the world around me a little bit brighter and I could not have done so without your help.

Dear Mr and Mrs Stark

I would like to express my appreciation to the Bobby Stark Foundation board members. I was suprised and deeply honored to learn that I was selected as the recepient of one of the Bobby Stark Foundation Scholarships.

I plan to continue my education throughout the fall in hopes of tranferring to Barrett, the honors college at Arizona State University in the spring of 2009. I am determined to pursue my passion for commerce at the W.P. Carey School of Busniess.

As an international student receiving this schorarship greatly helps with my financial responsibilities. I appreciate your confidence and willingness to contribute to my education.
